About LitGRID
Lithuanian parallel and distributed computing and e-services network (LitGrid) is being successfully operated and continues to be developed and installed. It has over 100 users, about 490 processors, and provides its users with computing and e-services capabilities.
- Grid infrastructure and e-services installation, maintenance and updating

LitGrid further activities are planned to include:
- create, maintain and develop e-infrastructure: grid, cloud computing, HPC, virtual repositories, other data sets
- service: academic environment, public sector, business needs, orders from foreign partners
- provide functionality: computing resources, modeling services, virtual repositories and data sets storage and use
- provide "on demand": calculations, data repositories related e-services, etc.
- integration and synchronization of activities: the activities of institution owned computer equipment (administrative, functional, organizational points of view)
- uptake and usage of technological innovations or new technologies, participation in projects: PRACE, EGI, others
- promote Lithuanian scientists and experts cooperation with famous research centers (CERN, etc.)
